The Chequers Inn is at the centre of the community in Lamberhurst and we warmly welcome everyone through our doors to enjoy the ambience of one of the oldest pubs in Kent. Sitting in the centre of Lamberhurst, with gardens overlooking the River Teise, and surrounded by the glorious Weald countryside we are a mere stone’s throw from Scotney Castle .
Recently re-opened, our aim is to make this a traditional, family friendly village pub, serving homemade fresh food including locals choices and a wide selection of popular beers and wines.
We host events throughout the year including regular live music, annual Halloween festival, markets and much more. We can also offer private hire for special occasions.
We also have accommodation available with en-suite rooms including a family room at highly competitive rates.
We look forward to welcoming you through our doors.
We serve a range of popular beers including Harveys (of course), Budvar Czech lager, Alhambra Spanish lager, our own House Chequers Export Lager, Jeremy Clarkson’s Hawkstone lager & cider, Guest IPA’s, as well as Guest ales from Westerham Brewery.
Our evolving wine list covers all needs with a focus on quality and value for money with no bottles exceeding £40.
