Run by Rich and Becks, the Chequers Inn is at the heart of the community in Lamberhurst and we warmly welcome everyone through our doors. Come and enjoy the ambience of one of the oldest pubs in Kent, established in 1414.

Sitting in the centre of Lamberhurst, with gardens overlooking the River Teise, and surrounded by the glorious Weald countryside, we are a mere stone’s throw from Scotney Castle, and a short drive from Bewl Water and Bedgbury Pinetum.

We host events throughout the year including regular live music, annual Halloween festival, global grazing evenings, fun quiz nights, scrabble club, gardening club, blues jam nights and much more.

Inside there’s our cosy Snug, the more formal Dining Room, The Bar and our Private Room. Outside our riverside garden has plenty of seating, and a children’s play area with a fun tunnel and mud kitchen. There’s also our chilled courtyard area, and easy access to the Chequers Field.
